Two plots at Berry St. Gardens—enough for 650+ plants—and a third plot, planted in cover crop (harry vetch, oats, peas, and red clover). A rotation of two plots in garlic, one in cover crop.

At Lary’s Gourmet Garlic we micro-farm carefully nurtured organic hardneck garlic. Unlike store-bought garlic, this garlic is heavy and juicy. Because our garlic is carefully air-cured for one week to ten days after harvest, it stores well—past six months—if kept in a cool, dark, well-ventilated space.
Our pollinator-friendly cover crop of oats, field peas, hairy vetch, and red clover.

Take a look at our maturing garlic as it begins to scape—four varieties—along with a plot of hairy vetch which will be harvested allowing our operation to use cover crop as both a soil restorative and as an effective organic mulch for the next season’s crop.
